Nicole Adams is a sophomore majoring in history on the pre-law track with a minor in Japanese. She is from Pohnpei, Micronesia and moved to Camas, Washington for high school. After taking Japanese for three years in middle school, she is aiming to become more fluent through the Japanese language program here at Baylor. She hopes to one day be able to travel to Japan and meet and talk with her friends that live there. She is excited to be part of the IMLC team.

Charlie Clark is a sophomore University Scholar with concentrations in Women and Gender Studies, as well as Asian Studies, and with a second major in Linguistics and a minor in Japanese. Clark is from Canyon, Texas, but moved back and forth from Poland, Japan, and the United States several times during childhood, where her interest in languages began. Clark is also an active member of the Golden Wave Marching Band and serves as historian for Baylor's Japanese Student Association. Following graduation, Clark intends to attend graduate school to pursue a PhD. in Linguistics.
チャーリー・クラークさんは二年生、出身はテキサスのカンヨンです。せんこうはユニバーシティ・スカラーズで、言語学と日本語とアジア研究と女性学を勉強しています。クラークさんは11歳の時東京に住んでいましたから、日本語とアジアを勉強するようになりました。ベイラー大学のゴールデン・ウェーブ・マーチングバンドのメンバーがいます。また、日本人学生会のれきしがかりです。卒業した後、大学院に行き、先生になるつもりです。

Liv Follis is a sophomore economics major, double minoring in Chinese and World Affairs. She was adopted from Jiangxi, China, as a child and was raised in Houston, Texas. She started learning Chinese language during her freshmen year at Baylor to become more connected with her culture. She loves to travel and hopes to return to China someday. After graduating Baylor, she plans to further her studies in graduate school and eventually work in international business with her knowledge in Chinese. She is excited to be part of the IMLC team.
余沛是一名大二经济学专业学生,辅修中文和世界事务。她小时候从中国江西被收养,在德克萨斯州休斯顿长大。她在Baylor University一年级时开始学习中文,以便更好地了解中国文化。她喜欢旅行,希望有一天能回到中国。从Baylor University毕业后,她计划继续攻读研究生,并最终利用自己的中文知识从事国际商务工作。她很高兴能成为 IMLC 团队的一员。

Spencer Hammack is a senior Computer Science major with a minor in Japanese from Marshall, Texas. He has been interested in other cultures since taking part in World Bazaar in middle school, where he represented Australia and South Korea. Spencer was able to take part of Baylor in Japan over the summer, and enjoyed his experience. He is very excited to be a part of IMLC.
スペンサー・ハマックはベイラー大学の三年生で、専攻はコンピューター科学です。スペンサーは2023年の夏、ベイラー・イン・ジャパンの授業を日本で受講しました。中学生の頃から異文化に興味を持ち、言語を学ぶのが好きです。スペイン語とドイツ語も学びたいです。IMLCで働くことにワクワクしています。

Maddie Holland is a freshman linguistics major from Mansfield, Texas. At Baylor she is studying Russian and German, and participates in Russian Club and Debate. When she was younger, she would spend her time on various language apps and watching videos about other cultures, but her love for languages was solidified when she started studying German in high school.

Maddie Holland studiert im ersten Semester Linguistik in Mansfield, Texas. An der Baylor University studiert sie Russisch und Deutsch und nimmt am Russischen Club und an Debatten teil. Als sie jünger war, verbrachte sie ihre Zeit mit verschiedenen Sprach-Apps und schaute sich Videos über andere Kulturen an, aber ihre Liebe zu Sprachen wurde gefestigt, als sie in der High School begann, Deutsch zu lernen.

Emily May is a sophomore double major in Linguistics and Russian Language from Santa Rosa, California. When she was young, she fell in love with other languages and cultures. She has studied Swedish and Hawaiian since childhood, initially sparking her love of linguistics. She studied French throughout the entirety of high school along with Tsalagi (ᏣᎳᎩ) in order to connect with her Native American heritage. Here at Baylor, she is currently studying Russian, German, and Hebrew with future plans of studying the Chinese language in the future. After graduating, she plans to continue her studies in graduate school and continue learning her love and interest for endangered and Indigenous languages and cultures. She is excited to be part of the IMLC team!

Valeria Muñiz is a sophomore Neuroscience major with a minor in Spanish. She is from Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, and El Cenizo, Texas, both border towns filled with culture and loving people. Being a first-generation student and first-generation American, she has seen firsthand the importance of language representation in academic spaces and hopes to integrate the Spanish language into her research. After graduation, Valeria hopes to pursue a PhD Neuroscience program and continue in academia.
Valeria Muñiz es estudiante de segundo año persiguiendo su licenciatura en neurociencia y una especialización secundaria en español. Ella es de los pueblos Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas en el lado mexicano, y El Cenizo, Texas en el lado estadounidense, ambos son pueblos fronterizos con una multitud de cultura hermosa y gente amable. Siendo estudiante de primera generación y estadounidense de primera generación, ha visto de primera mano la importancia de la representación lingüística en los espacios académicos y espera poder integrar el español en sus investigaciones científicas. Después de graduarse, Valeria quiere seguir un programa de doctorado en neurociencia y continuar involucrada en el mundo académico.

Walker Snider is a sophomore double-majoring in English and International Studies on a pre-law track with a Japanese minor. He is from Beaumont, Texas and is involved with Model United Nations and Japanese Honor Society at Baylor. Walker began learning Japanese as a freshman at Baylor and hopes to to continue learning after graduating. Walker is excited to be apart of the IMLC team.
ウォーカー・スナイダーは英語と国際学の二年生で、法学前課程の学生で、日本語副専攻です。出身はテキサスのボーマントです。ウォーカーはベイラー大学でMUNやJHSに入っています。ウォーカーはベイラーの一年生のときに日本語を学び始めました。卒業後も学び続けたいです。ウォーカーはIMLCチームの一員になれて嬉しいです。
