Assistant Information
Interested in working in the iMLC?
Serving as an iMLC Assistant involves helping students and faculty in our technology center, as well as other tasks related to the materials and facilities. The center consists of three computer labs, a service desk, and an encoding room. Students working in the iMLC are active all the time, either helping students and faculty or working on assigned projects. Computer and customer service skills are essential.
We look for outgoing and helpful people who are willing to learn new things. Priority is given to students who are working on foreign language skills. Preference is given to those students that have already qualified for Federal Work Study and accepted their financial aid package. Majors and minors in area studies, international studies, and modern languages are strongly encouraged to apply as are speakers of languages other than English. Please contact the iMLC director for information about current job availability and the application process.
